Feb 14 with Family (=

February 14, 2009

This Valentine’s Day, I spent it with Family. And it was enjoyable! 🙂

Mummy recommended a place for Japanese cuisine opened by her friend’s husband. It’s located around Boat Quay. With reservations made, we journeyed there, and weren’t let down one bit. From presentation of food to the service, it was satisfactory. And I must say, the chef is one talented man! 🙂

Here’s what we had, reccommended by the lady boss:
1) Starters: Mushroom salad, and a sardine chip

2) Scallops with fish egg and mayo sauce, over charcoal – Absolutely fantastic!

3) This fried dish consists of, one chicken wing, a cheese-filled nugget, and a fishcake rolled fried to perfection.

4) Barbecued Tiger Prawns, Bacon rolls, Grilled Pork Cubes on a stick. Berd totally digged this dish!

5) Bamboo Shoots, White Carrot, and Chicken meat chunks in Hot and sour sauce. Simply exciting! 😀

5) Our Main dish – Udon soup. Subtle with a tinge of miso, food for the heart.

6) Dessert : Lychee jelly with wolfberrys & ginger, and Cheese mousse

Prices are surprising affordable for such well-decorated dishes! Here’s how the place looks like…

Following dinner, Berd suggested that we go Marina Barrage, and since my folks have not been there before, Why not? 😀

The place was crowded by we still managed to find a good parking spot, and also were able to walk at ease. Daddy and Mummy enjoyed the view, they seem pretty romantic together 🙂 awww…
While Berd and I just enjoyed snapping photos, and of course the Valentine’s Day atmosphere around us. There was a marriage proposal, loads of couples with flowers, lots of kids running about after dinner at 7 Storey Restaurant. It was just, family-love.

My early Feb 14. :)

February 13, 2009

We celebrated on the 7th, a week before the actual day.
And yes, many many hidden agendas on that evening. We’ve got a surprise birthday for Wendy’s bf, Nas; and a rush for Vday card for our little foot. 🙂

How sweet of wendy to have come up with this video which pretty much sums up our Valentine’s Day.

Bary was touched by the messages in my gift, a hand made scrap book of our entire 2008 together.
Little foot almost cried, in my opinion, but Bary said she cried, when we surprised her with ther cards. haha!

*News Flash*
I’d be back to work again this 18th onwards. Same ol’ place, same ol’ job, and omg… lessons are morning session this time around in March!

I’m needing KBOX badly … Alvin!! ask me out!

Just had a back massage today at Chrysalis at East Point… compliments of Beauty Credit. Hurt like hell… and I spent the entire day walking around smelling like vegetable oil, while berd endured the incredibly uncomfortable after-facial stickiness.

Alrighty gotta head to dinner now, have a good friday!
And Happy Valentine’s Day!

All about Quill

February 8, 2009

This story about the life of a labrador through birth till death gripped my heart as I watch it grew, parted families, bonded with a blind man, and eventually dealt with his owner’s passing, and finally his last moments at his foster parents’ house.

Released in 2004, I watched it tonight. And I shall sleep with thoughts of life and death. It’s not about how quick it ends, but instead how you allow it to end.
