This Valentine’s Day, I spent it with Family. And it was enjoyable! 🙂
Mummy recommended a place for Japanese cuisine opened by her friend’s husband. It’s located around Boat Quay. With reservations made, we journeyed there, and weren’t let down one bit. From presentation of food to the service, it was satisfactory. And I must say, the chef is one talented man! 🙂
Here’s what we had, reccommended by the lady boss:
1) Starters: Mushroom salad, and a sardine chip
2) Scallops with fish egg and mayo sauce, over charcoal – Absolutely fantastic!
3) This fried dish consists of, one chicken wing, a cheese-filled nugget, and a fishcake rolled fried to perfection.
4) Barbecued Tiger Prawns, Bacon rolls, Grilled Pork Cubes on a stick. Berd totally digged this dish!
5) Bamboo Shoots, White Carrot, and Chicken meat chunks in Hot and sour sauce. Simply exciting! 😀
5) Our Main dish – Udon soup. Subtle with a tinge of miso, food for the heart.
6) Dessert : Lychee jelly with wolfberrys & ginger, and Cheese mousse
Prices are surprising affordable for such well-decorated dishes! Here’s how the place looks like…
Following dinner, Berd suggested that we go Marina Barrage, and since my folks have not been there before, Why not? 😀
The place was crowded by we still managed to find a good parking spot, and also were able to walk at ease. Daddy and Mummy enjoyed the view, they seem pretty romantic together 🙂 awww…
While Berd and I just enjoyed snapping photos, and of course the Valentine’s Day atmosphere around us. There was a marriage proposal, loads of couples with flowers, lots of kids running about after dinner at 7 Storey Restaurant. It was just, family-love.
And that’s my Valentine’s Day 2009 🙂 How was yours?
